Heart and Stroke Foundation accredited Standard First Aid course is a comprehensive 2-day program designed to teach you essential skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies in the workplace, home or other setting. This course is designed to meet provincial workplace regulatory requirements* and covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including responding to breathing, airway and circulation emergencies, as well as control of bleeding, shock, stabilizing fractures and dislocations, head and spine injuries, and more. This course is ideal for everyday people who want to be prepared for the unexpected. Card good for 3 years (cpr recommended yearly)
Standard First Aid CPR AED LEVEL C 1 day Recert As above, but shorter. Standard First Aid Recertification is 1-day course intended for people whose current Standard First Aid CPR AED Level C card is nearing expiry. It reviews proven methods for providing standard first aid to injured or ill persons. Through instruction, demonstration, and practice, participants will learn how to determine the severity of a patient’s condition and practice safe intervention when providing them with emergency support.
Recertification only applies one time. Individuals in possession of an existing recertification certificate are required to take the full Standard First Aid Level C course. Card good for 3 years (cpr recommended yearly)
Standard First Aid - BLS 2 day course This course is Standard First Aid full course plus BLS (Basic Life Support) which is generally what is required for future Health Care professionals such as Nursing Students. Please connect with your employer/school to determine if this is the correct class to take. Card good for 3 years (cpr recommended yearly)
Emergency First Aid Course 1 day course This 1 day Emergency Level C (infant-child adult) or Level A (adult only) includes the first aid for the most deadly injuries and illnesses that may occur at home or on the jobsite. Emergency First Aid Level C is fast-paced and extensive 1-day course that delivers proven methods for providing basic, urgent assistance to injured or ill adults, children and infants. Through a combination of instruction, demonstration, and hands-on practice, participants will learn how to determine the severity of a patient’s condition and practice safe intervention when providing them with emergency support. This course is aimed at lay rescuers or employees who are required to receive 8 hours or less of emergency or basic first aid instruction/practice as stipulated by provincial or federal health & safety regulations. Emergency First Aid Level A is fast-paced and extensive 1-day course that delivers proven methods for providing basic, urgent assistance to injured or ill adults. Through a combination of instruction, demonstration, and hands-on practice, participants will learn how to determine the severity of a patient’s condition and practice safe intervention when providing them with emergency support. This course is aimed at lay rescuers or employees who are required to receive 8 hours or less of emergency or basic first aid instruction/practice as stipulated by provincial or federal health & safety regulations. Card valid for 3 years, CPR component recommended to be re-certified yearly.
